A near-black charcoal decor that carries a soft crown figure: cathedral arches drawn a shade lighter than the ground. For a job that wants depth with something happening in it.
Thunder is one of the darkest decors Ventech holds and a very neutral one, measuring very slightly cool rather than warm, so it holds as a true charcoal rather than drifting brown. Unlike most of the range it is not straight and linear: the soft crown figure repeats leaf to leaf, which a natural crown log cannot do. The pattern is sliced, dyed, re-laid and re-sliced rather than grown, which is why colour holds sheet to sheet and across a staged delivery in a way no natural log can.
Supplied in 3100 × 640 leaves.
