Book matched
Leaves opened like a book, mirrored at each joint for a symmetrical, formal face.
Slip matched
Leaves laid side by side in sequence, so the grain repeats evenly across the panel.
RSM
Reverse slip match: every second leaf is turned over for a calmer, more uniform look.
Mis matched
Leaves from different parts of the log, mixed so no pattern repeats. Relaxed and natural.
