Macassar Ebony Quarter

$0.00

Macassar Ebony, quarter cut: a warm golden to copper-orange ground crossed by irregular dark brown to near-black stripes that vary in width and fade in and out along each leaf.

Macassar Ebony is a striking striped timber with a straight, ribbon-like grain and a fine, even texture. It is easily confused with Malt Zebrano and Paldao: Macassar has the hot orange ground, Malt Zebrano is a cooler grey-brown with evenly spaced stripes, and Paldao is the olive-khaki one.

Leaves are generally available from 2500 to 3600 mm long. 3600 mm is always in short supply and needs its availability checked before it is specified. Natural timber, so it never repeats and colour and figure vary log to log: match a continuing job to the original order rather than to this page.
