Hoop Pine Crown

$0.00

Australian hoop pine, crown cut: a very pale cream with almost no colour contrast and soft cathedral figure. A clean, light softwood face.

Botanical name: Araucaria cunninghamii

Hoop pine is a non-porous softwood with faint growth bands, so the face is smooth and light with very little to catch the eye. It is also used widely as a backing. Grown in Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Also held as edging. Leaves are generally available from 2500 to 3600 mm long. 3600 mm is always in short supply and needs its availability checked before it is specified. Natural timber, so it never repeats and colour and figure vary log to log: match a continuing job to the original order rather than to this page.
