A figured Australian eucalypt with a pronounced, rippling fiddleback figure in warm blond and amber bands: a bold feature timber.
Fiddleback figure shows as regular, wavy bands across the grain that catch the light and shift as you move. Ventech lists this as a general figured eucalypt rather than a single named species. The strongly three-dimensional figure suits a feature wall.
Leaves are generally available from 2500 to 3600 mm long. 3600 mm is always in short supply and needs its availability checked before it is specified. Natural timber, so it never repeats and colour and figure vary log to log: match a continuing job to the original order rather than to this page.
