American white oak with the character left in: knots, splits and colour variation in a weathered grey-brown face.
Botanical name: Quercus alba
Rustic grade keeps the pin knots, open checks and tonal variation that clean grades remove, for a deliberately aged, characterful look. Grown in the eastern United States.
Leaves are generally available from 2500 to 3600 mm long. 3600 mm is always in short supply and needs its availability checked before it is specified. Natural timber, so it never repeats and colour and figure vary log to log: match a continuing job to the original order rather than to this page.
